Timberland Regional Library’s 2025 Summer Library Program Invites Readers of All Ages to Explore, Discover, and Create!

June 1 – August 31, 2025 | Free Books, Events, and Activities for Babies to Adults

Timberland Regional LIBRARY (TRL) is thrilled to announce the return of its Summer Library Program (SLP), running from June 1 to August 31, 2025 - and this year, it’s bigger and more inclusive than ever! The program is open to all ages, from birth to 100 and beyond, and features age-specific activity logs designed to keep participants engaged all summer long.

Whether you're discovering your first picture book, exploring new authors, or learning something new through hands-on science and art, there’s something for everyone this summer at your local library and beyond.

New This Year: Age-Specific Activity Logs

For the first time, TRL’s Summer Library Program offers four customized activity logs designed to engage:

  • Babies & Toddlers

  • School Age Children

  • Tweens & Teens

  • Adults

Each log includes a Summer Reading Bingo card full of fun and enriching activities that promote reading, writing, learning, and creating. Complete a row on your bingo card and return to the library to receive a second free book and a completion certificate plus bonus rewards for youth (while supplies last), including free tickets to the Tacoma Rainiers and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

Free Gifts Just for Participating

All participants who sign up for SLP at any Timberland Library location will receive:

  • A free book to keep (for all ages)

  • A TRL tote bag (one per family)

  • An activity log (with options for all ages)

Prefer to go digital? Track your activities online through Beanstack, or ask staff for help setting up an account.

Events, Experiences, and the Anywhere Library

All 29 library branches—and our Anywhere Library mobile service vans—will be hosting free events throughout the summer across Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties. Check the TRL Events Calendar for full listings.

2025 Summer Headliners

In addition to dozens of locally hosted programs, TRL is proud to feature district-wide headlining performers and presenters, including:

  • Javoen Byrd (June 3–13) – Dive into African and African American drumming and storytelling in this interactive musical experience.
