Important Update: Dolly Parton Imagination Library
Important program update from Imagination Library of Washington: State funding for Imagination Library of Washington was not included in the 2026 supplemental operating budget signed by Governor Ferguson on April 1, 2026. With the State’s decision to discontinue its 50 percent funding match and statewide support, that partnership model is no longer sustainable. Imagination Library of Washington will continue providing the 50 percent state match to Local Program Partners through June 30, 2026, at which time the current funding ends, the statewide program will conclude its statewide operations. More information will be shared as partner organizations determine next steps. In the meantime, program availability and enrollment options may be limited or unavailable.

What is the Imagination Library?
The Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books to children 0-5 years old, free of charge, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners.
How does it work?
Caregivers enroll their child by filling out an online or print registration form. Once enrolled, a child will receive a free, age-appropriate, brand-new book MAILED TO THEIR HOME every month until their fifth birthday.
