To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and A Very Laufey Day, TRL is teaming up with 2X GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, New York Times bestselling author, and honorary chair of Library Card Signup Month, Laufey (pronounced Lay-Vay) and her global Laufey Book Club to offer a limited-edition library card.
This library card collaboration celebrates the power of storytelling, creativity, and connection – values that Laufey champions through her music and book club. This card is limited to one per patron, first come-first served, while supplies last.
The TRL design is one of nearly 50 Laufey Book Club collaborative public library cards launching around the world in celebration of A Very Laufey Day & Library Card Signup Month, and the only one launching in Washington State.
How you can get a card:
Starting in early September, the limited-edition card will be available at all Timberland Regional Library branches for both new and existing cardholders. Cards are limited to one per patron.
Each library will share on their social media pages when the cards arrive, so keep an eye on your local library's updates. You can also check your library's open days & hours at TRL.org/Locations.
If you don't have a TRL library card yet, this is a great time to get one! Library cards are free for anyone of any age who lives, works or attends school in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific or Thurston counties, as well as qualifying institutions, businesses and homeschools within TRL's five-county service area*.
When you apply at your local Timberland library, staff will verify your identity and ask a few questions to set up your account. Bring a photo ID and, if your current address isn't listed on your ID, something that verifies your address.
Whether you're already a Laufey fan, a Laufey Book Club reader or simply love a great library card, keep an eye out for this special edition coming to TRL in September!
