FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 1, 2025
Timberland Regional Library is excited to welcome children's author and illustrator Ellie Peterson as a headlining presenter of the 2025 Summer Library Program.
From July 15 through August 15, Ellie will present 25 fun-filled events at TRL libraries and mobile library locations throughout the region.
During each event, Ellie will share one of her popular books—like How to Hug a Pufferfish or her upcoming release Sandcastles Are Forever—and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating books. Kids and families will also enjoy a hands-on drawing and writing activity to spark creativity and imagination.
Ellie’s work is inspired by her 20 years as a classroom teacher and her experience growing up as a biracial army brat. Her programs encourage kids to be curious, expressive, and proud of who they are.
These all-ages events are designed for families, with special emphasis on fun and learning for children.
