Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, and there’s still time to make sure you’re ready to vote. Whether you need to register, find a ballot drop box or learn more about the issues on your ballot, there are resources available to help.
Timberland Regional Library connects people with information and resources throughout our five-county service area. Here are answers to some common voting questions and links to help you prepare for Election Day.
Can I still register to vote?
Yes! In Washington, you can register to vote or update your registration online or by mail through October 26. Visit VoteWA.gov to register or check your registration information.
Missed the deadline? You can still register to vote in person at a designated voting center through 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3. Visit the Washington Secretary of State's website for more information.
What if I haven't received my ballot or need a replacement?
If your ballot hasn't arrived or you've misplaced it, you have options. You can check your ballot information or access a replacement ballot through VoteWA.gov, or contact your county elections office for assistance.
If you need help accessing online resources, your local Timberland Library can provide access to public computers and internet resources.
Where can I drop off my ballot?
Ballot drop boxes can be found at the following Timberland Library locations:
Lacey (located next door at City Hall)
Find all official ballot drop box locations through SOS.wa.gov
Planning to mail your ballot? Return it early. The Washington Secretary of State recommends mailing your ballot more than 1 WEEK before Election Day to allow enough time for it to receive a timely postmark.
If you're returning your ballot within a week of Election Day, consider using an official ballot drop box instead. Ballots deposited in an official drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, are guaranteed to be received on time.
