Timberland Regional Library’s Summer Library Program (SLP) runs from June 1 to August 31 and is open to all ages—from babies to adults and everyone in between.
Your library is the place to be this summer! Discover new books, movies, and more, and come enjoy exciting FREE events happening across all TRL locations. See what's happening on the TRL Events Calendar! Can’t make it to a branch? Our Anywhere Library vans bring the fun to parks, schools, and neighborhoods across Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties.

How to Join the Fun
Starting June 1, stop by your local Timberland Library to sign up for SLP! Just for signing up you’ll receive:
- A free book to keep (for ALL participants of any age!)
-
A paper SLP bingo activity log to keep track of all the activities you do
There are four versions of the SLP activity log, with age-appropriate activities for Early Learners, Kids, Tweens & Teens, and Adults. Each SLP activity log features a Summer Reading Bingo card full of activities that encourage reading, writing, learning, and creating. Keep track of the activities you complete on your paper SLP activity log to achieve a bingo!
After you complete one row of activities on your Summer Reading Bingo card, come back to the library to receive:
- A Completion Certificate (for anyone interested)
While supplies last, youth also receive:
- A free ticket to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park or Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, opens a new window (for youth ages 12 and under)
- A free ticket to a Tacoma Rainiers game scheduled for August 25th-27th (for youth ages 4-13; children 3 and under always enter free)
Thank you to our sponsors who help to make our Summer Library Program possible!
TRL Friends of the Library, Northwest Trek and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, opens a new window, and the Tacoma Rainiers -- thank you!
