Timberland Regional Library is excited to announce the launch of its innovative "Grow a Reader" program, a dynamic initiative aimed at cultivating a lifelong love for reading and learning among young minds in our community. The program is designed to empower children and families with the tools they need to foster early literacy skills and set a strong foundation for academic success.
The "Grow a Reader" program centers around reading is not just a skill, but a powerful gateway to exploration, imagination, and growth. Through a combination of interactive activities, engaging resources, and community events, this program is made to cater to children aged 0-5 years and their caregivers.
Keep track of the reading journey you and your child embark on with Grow A Reader. Pick up a reading activity log at your local branch and sign up for your child's first library card with a matching design, designed by Washington state author and artist, Nikki McClure. This can serve as a keepsake to remember favorite book titles shared together throughout your child’s preschool years. Special thanks to Olympia artist Nikki McClure for her artwork and generous support of her local library.
Ask staff on your next visit for the keepsake brochure, available in English and Spanish.
