North Mason Timberland Library to Temporarily Close for Interior Refresh

Belfair, WA – The North Mason Timberland Library will temporarily close beginning Tuesday February 3, 2026, for a much-anticipated interior refresh. The last day the library will be open to the public prior to the closure is Saturday, January 31. The library is expected to reopen later this spring, with work anticipated to be completed in May or June.

During the closure, work will focus on improvements designed to enhance the patron experience, including updated paint, flooring, and furniture, a refreshed layout to improve flow and functionality, and a reimagined children’s area creating a more welcoming and comfortable space for the Belfair community.

Starting February 10th we will operate from our temporary location in the Mason Transit building at 25200 Washington Highway 3 in Belfair. Temporary hours are 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Friday. Services include book return, holds pick-up, and a small browsing collection, as well as internet computers, printing, and copying. 

“This refresh will create a more welcoming space for the community,” said Annie Bowers, Regional Manager. “We’re grateful for the community’s patience during the closure and look forward to sharing updates as the work progresses and welcoming everyone back in the Spring.”
