Video streaming platform that offers a wide selection of movies, documentaries, and TV shows from around the world. The platform provides patrons with access to high-quality, educational, and entertaining content. Stream from a  vast collection of movies and other video content, including classic films, indie films, world cinema, documentaries, and more. Users can access Kanopy's content on their computers, tablets, smartphones, or TVs by using the Kanopy app, which is available on various platforms.

Films with public performance rights (PPR) can be used for extracurricular events, like film clubs or social events.

Kanopy now utilizes a "tickets" system for streaming, instead of play credits. Users are provided with a monthly allotment of 16 tickets. Every title will be labeled with a ticket value, allowing users to determine how many tickets will be used and how long they will have access to the title. The number of tickets required per title will vary depending on the type (movie, series, etc.) and length.

Please note, per Kanopy's Terms of Service, opens a new window users must be 18 years old or over OR have the involvement of their parent or legal guardian to use Kanopy. Set up a personalized PIN, opens a new window to keep your kids inside Kanopy Kids.

In the Kanopy Kids section, you'll see only content that's suitable for children, with a focus on ages 2-8. Kids can browse this section freely, and you can set up parental controls, opens a new window to ensure children can't view content outside of Kanopy Kids. Once parental controls are enabled, a PIN is required to exit Kanopy Kids.

Kanopy Kids titles don't use play credits, so you have unlimited access to everything in the Kanopy Kids section.

To access Kanopy Kids from your Kanopy, opens a new window account, click Kids in the top-right corner of your homepage.

This curated database of children’s e-books has over 1,100 titles for grades K-6, and includes unique animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books, non fiction books and videos, curated playlists, as well as books in Spanish and French. Plus, the collection features Graphic Novels – a student favorite! 

There are no check-outs, holds, or downloads, and books are available instantly.
