Get ready for Summer Library Program!

Timberland Regional Library’s Summer Library Program (SLP) runs from June 1 to August 31 and is open to all ages—from babies to adults and everyone in between.

Your library is the place to be this summer! Discover new books, take part in hands-on and science-based programs, explore the outdoors with StoryTrails, and enjoy exciting FREE events happening across all TRL locations and throughout the community. Can’t make it to a branch? Our Anywhere Library vans bring the fun to parks, schools, and neighborhoods across Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties. View the calendar to see where Anywhere Library is going and when!

How to Join the Fun

Starting June 1, stop by your local Timberland Library to sign up for SLP! Just for signing up you’ll receive:

  • A free book to keep (for ALL participants of any age!)
  • A handy TRL tote bag to carry all your books (one tote per family)
  • A paper SLP activity log to keep track of all the activities you do (for all participants of any age)

There are four versions of the SLP activity log this year, with age-appropriate activities for Babies & Toddlers, School Age Children, Tweens & Teens, and Adults. Each SLP activity log features a Summer Reading Bingo card full of activities that encourage reading, writing, learning, and creating. Keep track of the activities you complete on your paper SLP activity log or online in Beanstack (visit your local library for help setting up a free Beanstack account, log in online here beginning June 1, or download the Beanstack app on your mobile device through the Apple App Store or Google Play on Android).

After you complete one row of activities on your Summer Reading Bingo card, come back to the library to receive:

  • A SECOND free book to keep (for ALL participants of any age!)
  • A Completion Certificate (for anyone interested)

While supplies last, youth also receive:
